Dirt Road Realty is the first and only Exclusive Buyer’s Real Estate Agency in Dutchess County where you can have a “personal shopper” to help you find your perfect property – at not extra cost. How is this possible? A whole new Evolution in the real estate market is taking place. With a traditional real estate broker, the seller is the top priority at all times. With Dirt Road Realty , Harvey Brown is an Exclusive Buyer Agent who is 100% committed to the BUYER alone.

Traditionally, the listing agent has a home to sell, advertises a lovely property that catches the eye of a buyer and traditional process starts - but with the advantage strongly on the side of the seller. Today, an evolution has taken place in the real estate market that is removing the strong, one-sided advantage. Harvey has established Dirt Road Realty, an Exclusive Buyer’s Agency, to bring this evolutionary change to the buyer. How Did Dirt Road Realty Get Started?
Harvey Brown’s professional profile reflects his qualities of loyalty and commitment. When it came time to change career paths, Harvey wanted to be able to continue to express these qualities in the field of real estate. Harvey felt the best way he could truly achieve 100% of these qualities was to represent only one party. There are about 12 traditional real estate offices in Rhinebeck and an additional 18 in the surrounding areas that mainly serve the seller; Harvey felt that it was time that there was an agency that would exclusively represent the buyer. Therefore, Harvey started Dirt Road Realty, an Exclusive Buyer Agency. Harvey feels that it is a win-win situation for him personally, and also for the buyer. Being an Exclusive Buyer Agent permits him to help the buyer find the right property no matter where it might be - he does not have to limit the buyer to one town or area.

Harvey ‘s natural ability to focus on and fully research the task at hand and his appreciation for teamwork resonates in the creation of Dirt Road Realty. Harvey wants to make a difference for his clients. He was honored by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with an Emmy Award for his excellence in the field of News Reports and Harvey has a strong desire to bring that same level of excellence to every single client of Dirt Road Realty.

Who is Harvey Brown?
Harvey Brown is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of New York. He is the principle broker of Dirt Road Realty, an  Exclusive Buyers Agency.  Professionally, Harvey is a member of the Realtor Association, the Multiple Listing System (MLS) and the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA). He is a member of Dutchess Tourism and the Rhinebeck Chamber of Commerce.

Have you met Harvey?
Well, you could have met him in NYC while he worked as a Vice President in the Financial Area at a major television network. Or through the years you may have seen him at a local upstate nursery asking Norbert hundreds of gardening questions. After all, his New York friends asked if he dug the pond which he gave his wife for her birthday (His friend Paul used his back hoe and Harvey wrote the check.). He even asked a builder if you could build a house on a slope when he bought his own property near the Omega Institute in the Town of Clinton (you can!). You could have seen him at the Chelsea Piers or Mid Hudson skating rinks cheering his son, Ross, during a hockey game or watching him practice ice dancing.

Today, Harvey can still be seen shopping at Union Square Farmers’ Market or crossing the street to browse at an outdoor sporting or book store. You can see Harvey duplicating these actions in the Rhinebeck /Red Hook/Millbrook vicinity as well. He and his wife, Anne, are supporters of the local arts, especially the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard.

Harvey's has not given up broadcasting totally, he is involved with the local Public Access TV station PANDA. There is the revival of PANDA and Harvey is supporting mission by giving his time and energy as an advisory sub- committee member.
Anne and Harvey are active in the Rhinebeck Chamber of Commerce, Rhinebeck NY volunteering their time in the summer months at the chamber booth. Anne has recently been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Starr Library in Rhinebeck NY.

Harvey also contributes his time working with several Not-For-Profit organizations using his expertise in the field of risk and opportunity management.
